Things had gotten a little weird since watching that film reel, sure, but Karen was determined not to let it bother her or inform how she went on living her life on the island. TV-Karen and Real-Karen had split nearly two years ago, and while sure, she would like to have kids one day (and the idea of having them with Nick didn't freak her out at all) she was still determined to move at the pace she wanted.

Which meant if she wanted to take up Grigg's promise to let her try out his lightsaber, then she absolutely would. You couldn't outgrow being a geek, after all.

She was in a pretty good mood as she made her way over to the boarding house and up to Grigg's room. She might have even knocked to the tune of the Star Wars theme in her head, but she would never admit it.

It wasn't like their days were really packed, or she didn't see Chuck almost every day even in passing, but sometimes they got busy, or just lost track of when the last time they'd spent an ungodly amount of time with the video game systems was.

Either way, Karen didn't need a reason to decide to make today all about gaming, and she was pretty sure Chuck didn't need one either. Okay, maybe finally trying out the new Call of Duty that came with the Wii was a good enough reason. Karen had been saving that one for a good time, and this was perfect.

"I'm trying to figure out how the Wii could make Call of Duty any more awesome," she said idly as she flipped through the booklet, letting Chuck figure out the controls onscreen. "Is that even possible? Can you have a game that's awesome squared?"
