[For Nick] Bodyswitch shenanigans.

So, Karen hadn't exactly enjoyed her own little trip in Han Solo's body, but it had been pretty cool once she got over the initial shock. At least from her side of it, anyway. She'd even found Nick's story about waking up with not-her a little more amusing.

It was less than amusing being on this side now, though. Waking up to someone who wasn't Nick was more disturbing than Karen could have imagined. Not that she felt bad, knowing who was in his body, it was just weird, and even moreso now that it happened twice in less than a month. But Karen couldn't think about that, otherwise she'd start to lose it, wondering every night if she'd wake up a kid again, or a guy, or whatever.

She couldn't even go out there and find Nick either, and had to settle for waiting outside her hut until he (and some other body) showed up.

Nick grimaced (though the face didn't like that one bit); he was trying not to think about who or what had his body.

"Do I want to know?" he asked, resting one elbow on his knee and cupping his chin in his hand. "Please tell me it's not Grissom or something." He remembered a distinct lack of clothing when he and Karen had fallen asleep the night before, and really, there were some things that Nick's boss just did not need to know.

"Oh," Nick said, shrugging his shoulders. That was... well, it could be a lot more horrible. "Well, that's not so..." He paused. No, no it was still bad. He probably wouldn't be able to face Mayko for a little while without blushing. "No, no, that's still really awkward. Damn." Nick followed Karen's gaze, and he glared at the elephant. "It won't stop following me. Who the hell has a pet elephant?"

Nick leaned forward, watching as Karen went over to the elephant. Seriously, Nick couldn't think anything else other than a baby elephant? really? really really? At least the whole farm of animals hadn't followed him.

Yet.

The elephant lifted its trunk, nudging it against Karen's palm. It was a curious little thing... a curious little thing that would grow up to be enormous.

"I think it likes you," Nick said, stretching his legs out in front of him. Hey, he had great legs. Wow, look at that.
